Mairin's priorities as your Ward 7 Councillor Watch the video

  • Care for our infrastructure

Our roads, bridges, and utility pipes need predictable, ongoing funding in order to function properly and avoid costly and disruptive repairs.

  • Improve transportation

Our transportation system needs to adapt to serve our growing population. This means providing better options for our residents:

    • A convenient and reliable transit system.
    • Keeping busy traffic on roads designed to handle it, and working to eliminate short-cutting on quiet, residential streets.
    • Upgraded, accessible sidewalks and improved pedestrian crossings.
    • Better facilities for bicycles in order to improve safety and reduce conflict and confusion on the road.
  • Repair back lanes

Potholes, ruts, and drainage problems in our alleys can be reduced by increasing our budget for back-lane rehabilitation. I will work to improve communications with residents about these concerns.

  • Ensure success for all

I will advocate for the Housing First approach to combat homelessness in Saskatoon, as well as for resources to support youth and people at risk.

  • Work for you

I will continue to be a strong advocate for Ward 7. I want to hear from you about our neighbourhoods and city, and will always be available and accountable to residents. I will work my hardest to ensure the effective stewardship of your tax dollars.
